Dato’ Deven Nathan graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) and Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from the University of Tasmania, Australia. He was then admitted as Lawyer of the Supreme Court of New South Wales Australia upon receiving his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) from The College of Law Australia. Upon his return, he ventured into his father’s law firm, V.P. Nathan & Partners, and concurrently gained admission as a Solicitor to the Senior Courts of England and Wales and as an Advocate & Solicitor in the High Court of Malaya. Strengthen by his background in accountancy and litigation, Dato’ Deven advises on varied issues most commonly on commercial matters. His clients have included national, multinational and regional companies involved in many different industries, including construction, financial services, insurance, medical, retail as well as transportation.
